I don’t know if it’s the same in your household but in mine, if you try to ring us, text or email us between the hours of 7pm-9pm on a Saturday night or 8pm-9pm on a Sunday evening you will be met with a resounding shhhhhhh! My children have become T.V addicts. They are completely hooked on Strictly Come Dancing. They have seriously bought into every aspect of the glitzy show. From the sequins, makeup, eyelash, hair and nail extensions right down to the head to toe fake tan, glamorous, showbiz world that is Strictly. They have opinions on the rise and fall of the contestants as well as foot placement and whether there is enough swivel or hip rotation! They shout and scream at the judges and squeal with delight when a number 10 paddle is produced. At the other end of the scale, my children are equally obsessed with Blue Planet II. They are completely captivated by the weird and wonderful exotic creatures that go about their business at the bottom of the deepest, darkest, depths of the sea. The uglier, the more googly the eyes and the more teeth, the better! With equal amounts of intrigue and fear but always reassured by the dulcet tones of Sir David Attenborough as their guide, my children watch spellbound. These two T.V programmes have my children literally on the edge of their couch potato seats every weekend. If you know of any similar children then these gifts might be of interest to you.
